Everyone has told me that what I want to do cannot be done using AJAX. I had to find out myself what could be done, and they were wrong! Please read the instructions below very carefully. If you do not follow the instructions carefully and do everything I have asked when you bid, I will ignore your bid. Please don't tell me what I am asking can't be done. Only bid if you specifically know how to do what I want. Either I want someone to write a requirements specification and detailed design, which can be used by someone else to implement the site or you could implement everything. Please tell me your price for both. You will also be partly responsible for managing the other person. I would like it to look like http://www.jeremycowart.com/. I DO NOT want it created in flash, I want the slide shows and animations done in javascript. I would like the website to automatically read the directory structure to create categories. For example, a directory structure like: portfolio/sports portfolio/landscapes will create a category for sports and landscapes. Then if I add a new directory later: portfolio/portraits I want this category to be created automatically. I also want a section called gallery which will be a private gallery. This is to share with clients and friends. Similarly I want to create a directory structure like: gallery/public/europe gallery/private/smithwedding Anything under public should appear on a global gallery site, with a global password. Under the private directory, each sub directory should have a separate password. For example: gallery/private/smithwedding/passwordfile I want someone with some design background since the site is a photography website so needs to looked polished. If you need to use a dynamic language other than javascript, please let me know what language you plan to use. There is little point sending me 20 example sites that you have made seeing I have practically said I want a copy of the site I have mentioned. Provide only 1 or 2 samples of your work.
