Network specialist / Linux OS
Sirs, good morning We need some expert advise for a network configuration. Basically we have several remote locations linked by a proprietary network (radio-link) to a central office. It's used to view surveillance IP cameras. In each location we have a linux server (ubuntu 9.1 with LAMP) that records the cameras, and runs some control routines. Also in some locations (60%) we have ADSL links that allows us to reach the servers through internet (also the cameras through port forwarding). Servers have two networks adapters, and we currently use only one. Cameras and servers are all under a managed switch capable of VLANS. What we need is to take possible advantage of infrastructure to: -Access all servers through one (or more) ADSL link for management purposes -Activate some redundancy if any radio-link is down through ADSL at location -Plan some basic security against typical attacks (DOS, etc) over ADSL connections. # Attached a simple network diagram # Central office, have a radio-link and a dedicated ADSL connection. What we expect is a design with basic instructions for a test setup. After this, we expect to make a second project with real implementation supported by same coder. B. Regards, Eduardo
