We are looking for an English-speaking linguist or a junior graphic designer or systems engineer who would like to work on quality assurance checks of multilingual files (file formats/types: doc, docx, rtf, xls, xlsx, htm, html, php, xml, js, ts, srt, txt.) Applicants must be experienced and advanced Microsoft Office users with strong attention to detail who can also work with (or learn) other tools such as EmEditor and Beyond Compare, among others. QA tasks involve: • comparing source and target files and checking for missing translations, translation of product names, use of decimals, punctuations, currency units, etc., adherence to style guides and job-specific instructions (if applicable) to identify the possible errors • checking for errors/mix-ups/omissions in code languages and file damage • identifying the encoding and taking care of entities Applicants can work from home, but must have availability to be able to accommodate and give priority to our projects. Local applicants are preferred, as they may be required to visit the office for training and updates. They will also be required to complete a test. High-speed Internet connection is a must.
