ASP Developer for Blackberry
PureSense is an emerging information company that integrates software as a service (SaaS) with real-time environmental monitoring in the agricultural sector. Our customers include some of the largest fruit and nut growers in California and the Pacific Northwest. We have over 200 customers and support nearly 1,000 fields monitored by our environmental monitoring stations. PureSense is positioned for extensive growth over the next few years, and needs an ASP Developer to help round out our availability on mobile platforms by developing a web client specifically for the Blackberry (and capable of running on a Blackberry Curve). The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with ASP, .NET and be familiar with Blackberry web pages. The main focus of this position will be to develop a Blackberry application that mirrors the functionality of our upcoming iPhone application. A POST web service has already been built for the Blackberry web app (the iPhone beta app is in testing with these services now), but will have some minor tweaks in the coming weeks. A minimum of 3 years of ASP development experience is a must. The candidate must both have excellent inter-personal skills and feel comfortable working in a small and strong team environment. The candidate will also have strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work closely with our development team and deliver results under tight deadlines. We estimate this project to be a 40 hour a week job for 8 weeks and to take Brainbench tests for English and ASP as well as inform us of your previous Blackberry experience.
