Design Component Project - Bootstrapping a new Country in Common Commerce Engine (CCE)
Detailed Requirements CCE is a commerce engine for the worldwide IBM.COM eCommerce web site. The IBM.COM site has multiple B2B and B2C stores selling everything from Accessories like keyboards to Desktops and even high end Servers like xSeries. The site is hosting over 800 different stores spanning all 3 Regions - NA, EMEA and AP. Whenever there is a need for expanding the business for new countries, CCE bootstraps the data for new countries. This is a manual process which involves forming two SQL files and inserting the records in DB. The requirement is to transform this process to make a GUI based tool wherein an authorized Admin can fill few values for each country and generate SQL file which can be used for inserting data in the DB. The process will validate the input based on the available data in the DB.
