SEO and Shopping Cart implementation
Our goal is to commence using our website, http://www.millsstyrox.com.au, as a vehicle for business generation. This is to be achieved in 2 ways: more custom/corporate enquiries leading to account management contact, and secondly, direct selling on a low cost-of-doing-business basis to a wide customer base via a shopping cart function. For both these objectives to be achieved, they must be underpinned by an effective Search Engine Optomisation program, that drives traffic to the sites. We require an experienced person who can project manage this job. They will be required to recommend a suitable off-the-shelf shopping cart program that is consistent with both SEO goals and our existing SQL database. From there, they will need to manage the implementation of the shopping cart program and ensure this is done in to maximise SEO. The structure of the website will need to be adjusted, implementing a site map, creating the infrastructure for a blog, and implementing some minor visual improvements (such as some simple flash). Part of the assignment will be reviewing competitor wesbsites, and unrelated but appropriate websites for benchmarking and making recommendations accordingly. In applying, please have a look at our website, and if necessary those of our competitors (www.spos.com.au, http://www.posm.com.au; http://www.sishop.com.au, http://www.bricor.com.au, http://www.displayme.com.au). However, as at the time of of writing this, our website is down. It will be back up on 22 March 2010. A more detailed document listing our targetted search terms and some expectations as to website structure is available on request. Keywords: SEO - Search Engine Optimization, SQL, SEO
