We want something fresh and vibrant that uses our existing color scheme as well as conveying what our app does. Our current icon and splash screen don't do a good job at this. Ideally, the splash screen and icon design will have great synergy and compliment each other. Maybe something incorporating chart lines and seasons for seasonality or a bull/bear look?
