I have recently re-established my own mechanical engineering practice. I'm in the process of finding my own 'niche'. One personal quality that I want to use to my advantage is my high level of attention to detail. This, combined with my broad experience in various industries, enables me to produce well-rounded mechanical system or product designs. (As opposed to many engineers that produce designs with some great qualities, but not great all around. e.g., Perhaps functional and reliable, but lacking design for optimal manufacturability, ease of servicing, aesthetics, ergonomics, etc.). Anyway, I'd like my logo to represent high quality, appeal, balance, and integrity all around. I've been fascinated with gyroscopes since I was a kid - I think that a gyroscope represents, from a physics standpoint, what I'm after from a business identity standpoint: Despite of various outside factors, the core and integrity of the gyroscope remains intact and in perfect alignment. (For more info, check out Wikipedia or YouTube for videos. The best one to watch is "iPhone 4's new gyroscope" in YouTube, where Apple's CEO Steve Jobs details the latest iPhone's gyroscope feature.
