Hello - I need a very small app running on Windows platform which will listen for events from server side. The server periodically sends information (unique to the user) on server side. We are looking for an app which can somehow display events to the user on the desktop. A Chrome or Firefox would have been useful but since it is an app which requires notifications on desktop, a browser may not be running all the time. The app needs to simply open a URL given from the server and the server will pick it from there. Please let me know how you soon you can complete it and furnish examples.
