We are looking for a professional French proofreader for different jobs before they go to press. This is an ongoing assignment, but we will only need you occasionally. Therefore, we need you to be flexible as jobs come in irregular. Still, we make sure we let you know beforehand to make it easier for you to plan. It will be mostly technical texts (consumer electronics) including also charts that have to be checked for consistent spelling. We also expect high focus on details and typography. Specifically, we need someone to proofread for the following criteria: . spelling . grammar . syntax . tense agreement . consistency in style and format (this is very important) . punctuation . capitalization . typos and misnomers . extra spaces You need the following skills: . impeccable spelling and grammar . obsessive attention to detail . working on time You will get PDFs and put your corrections directly in the PDF working with the correction tools Adobe Acrobat Professional offers. Usually, we need each PDF turned around the next day. Please apply only if you are native French with excellent French grammar knowledge. Often the French version is an adaptation of an German original. Therefore, candidates will be preferred who understand the original German version and can cross-check it with the French.
