Custom Perl module for Google Base
Google Base is a cool online database containing product and inventory information (among many other things). Applications can send queries using HTTP and receive responses as an Atom feed. More information about Google Base can be found here: http://code.google.com/apis/base/docs/2.0/developers_guide_protocol.html This bid request is to create a Perl module (.pm) that sends queries to Google Base and does a few custom things with the response: 1. parse the response as a list of products 2. fix bad UPC codes 3. remove products with duplicate UPC codes 4. return a list of brands in the response We also have specific test requirements. Please read the attached MS Word document for the full requirements.
