2 hours of Telephone Support
I've got 20+ years experience as a software author. Mostly Visual Basic. My specialty is complex normalized database structures. I'm now getting up to speed on PHP and mySQL. I need an experienced PHP developer, with some good samples sites, who speaks English well, to give me intelligent answers to simple questions. PHP question: why does each Joomla folder I look contain one 1 html file called Index and all the rest are .php files? I think I know the answer to this one. Ideally someone who is familiar with Joomla, and all the other big GPL applications, and extensions. Also I'd like to work with someone who uses PHPed, as that is my chosen PHP editor. And of course mySQL experience is important. For instance, tell me what's your preferred SQL editor? And lastly, I will need general off the cuff answers on the efficiency of various multi-segment key configurations, so you should be comfortable talking about that. This is the first time I'm posting for help. Next month I want to start posting specs and get some coding done. I'm available via Skype, Pacific Coast time, most of the day. Keywords: PHP / MySQL
