Creative Content Coordinator
DATE: July, 2010 POSITION: Website Content Copywriter/Coordinator, Part Time Start Date: Immediate Pay Rate: $35.00 Per Hour LOCATION: Home Based REPORTING TO: Team Lead and General Manager, Website Experts ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but are not limited to, the following: You will be working on overflow content creation and organization for the purpose of building websites. You may receive various customer profiles, advertising, brochures and other collateral from our Website Coordinators in order to produce content for the customer’s website and you will then send what you’ve completed back to the Website Coordinator in which you received it initially from. You may also be required to key in copy provided by scanned text that may be hand-written. You will organize this content into pages for a well structured website. This role is in a high volume production environment and with tight timelines. You will also be responsible for the coordination and research of Department Documentation and the posting and updating of those materials on the Department’s wiki and other locations. You do not have to do any cold calling or other telemarketing-type work. The site content collateral will be delivered to you. Strong English verbal and written skills are an asset. Bilingual capabilities would be considered an asset, but not required. REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree or diploma from an established school and ideally at least one year of similar industry experience. Other required skills and experience include: • Able to multi-task is essential • Accountable and reliable • Adobe Acrobat skills • Comfortable working independently, often with minimal supervision, while remaining able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines • Detail oriented, innovative, creative and show initiative • Enjoy on your own • Extreme organizational skills are essential • General knowledge of PC Windows or Mac OSX • MS Office skills • Strong demonstrable verbal and written skills in English is essential • Time management skills • Use of space, text placement, usability and visual flow Having any of the following would be notable assets: • Knowledge of websites, web development and online best practices • Proven experience managing creative projects from start to finish is a definite asset • Tracking your work for report purposes experience SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: • Photoshop or similar program • Word Program • FileZilla (FTP) (NOTE: Must provide signed documentation that these are your programs.) REPORTING: Complete weekly reports giving updated statuses for all projects that you are currently working on.
