I have an immediate need for a programmer to help one of my clients. While this is a one-time project, I may be able to refer you to future clients who have essentially the same requirement. This project is to write a scheduled script that does the following at a selected time every night: Step #1: Export from Quickbooks selected data from the inventory table. Each data record consists of: > item part number > item description field or other text string stored in Quickbooks or from a separate look-up table, keyed to the item part number > quantity available (on hand minus allocated) > unit price (may be calculated from cost or list price fields) Step #2: From the exported data, create a pipe-delimited text file. each record is to include the above four fields, plus three other fields, all of which are static values (the same value for each record). The final file must by a pipe-delimited text file (.txt or .dat). Step #3: Using a third party application (such as CuteFTP Pro) or custom script, push the data file to a third party FTP site.
