We are currently developing a new version of our software, which is targeted at the health care / aged care industry. We aim to place a heavy emphasis on the user experience of this application, and as such, the quality of icon images is very important to us. Initially, we are looking at the following numbers: · 8 icons that scale from 128px to 64px. · 6 toolbar icons at 32px. · 7 icons at 64px · Potentially a number of other icons at 32px (estimate of 15 such icons) As the application development progresses, we may encounter a need for further icons, in addition to the ones above. As regards icon style, we have the following in mind. 1. We desire a consistent theme. Our suggestion is to use a common background, such as the one in the iPhone icons attached. On top of this background we’d like to see something which gives the impression of some depth (eg: the sun in the attached icons). 2. An exception to the above is the 8 toolbar icons which needn’t have a rectangular background. 3. The icons should look good when used against a white background.
