When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? 8/28/10 Audience Profile: Please describe your existing audience The initial target is women, aged 21 – 50 who value fashion and are willing to spend in excess of $100 on a handbag. This type of clientele will have multiple types of these handbags and also value quality shoes. Quality of product is just as important as price and they are wiling to pay a premium for this. Because of this focus on quality, their desire to maintain these accessories is heightened. Who would you like to add to your audience? Product line will eventually include items appealing to men aged 21 – 50. Perception/Tone/Guidelines: What type of logo would you like? The logo should have clean lines and project gender neutrality. It should convey a quality product and strike a balance between stuffy and fru fru. I would like a logo with “curb appeal”…something that will make a purchaser look twice just to learn more about what type of product it is. The product will eventually be made of recyclable material so I’d like the “eco friendly” angle incorporated as a subtlety. Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) Greens (because it’s “natural” and ties into the lotus along with the “eco friendly” angle), blues (because it ties into the water repellency). These colors are also gender neutral. Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? Lotus Flower, lotus leafs, water. I’m okay with abstract types of images. I’ve chosen the lotus flower as the symbol because of its natural water repellency. The graphic is very important to me because I’d like to be able to use it for standalone branding just as Nike uses the swoosh.
