Simple Ticketing System
My IT company is looking to develop an integrated Ticketing, Alarming and Remote management application. as a first module, we want a simple ticketing application (with MS-SQL backend, and preferably VB.NET or Java front end) developed. The interface needs to be clear, simple and appealing, with minimal click-through screens. the information that needs to be captured and provided includes ticket number, hours worked, opened date and a field for highlighting if the SLA (Service level agreement) time of the ticket is approaching. some good examples of open source ticketing applications include simple ticket and OTRS, however we want our own platform so we can integrate it with other systems/functions. The system also needs to be able to create tickets from incoming emails/send out status updates for tickets once information chages (and if required). Priority will be given to candidates who have had experience developing ticket type applications previously, and the successful candidate has the potential of obtaining lots more work (and potentially ongoing part-time employment) with us. All source code must be provided and fully commented, and I'd like to see some samples of your work too where possible. if you have any questions just ask.
