Produce an handmade item - Tiered, gathered, layered lace skirt
Reposting, because somehow the "ideal price" section didn't work out right. Still, I'm not able to spend $200 on a skirt. I'd like a black skirt similar in style to the images linked below, in tiered lace with a gathered hem, finished with ribbons or rosettes (provided these are not the kind that unravel very easily!) at the gathers. In the back of this top layer, I'd like to be able to gather/bustle at two points, either with loop & button or a ribbon to cinch the material. Obviously this has to be done so that the lace does not rip, whether by using a sturdier lace material or some reinforced method of sewing on the ribbon or loop & button. If using the cinching method, I want the gathers to be larger, rather than finer, so please work it through at larger intervals. The under layer can be done two ways: 1) as shown, a sheer, tiered layer hemmed in lace over a smooth lining (enough weight not to bunch up and stay bunched when I sit, please! I do not like to flash people), or 2) a medium/heavy weight material (to drape nicely) hemmed in lace and nice enough to be revealed when the top layer is bustled. The waist can be done in elastic, though I prefer a flat 1-2" band with zip and/or button(s), as I intend to wear a fitting top or thin chemise & corset over it, and I don't want the gathered elastic waistband to dig into my skin. I will wear this at my natural waist, which is exactly 26", though I wouldn't mind it being 26.5" or having just a small 1-2" section near the closure elasticized for comfort. I'd like the fullness of the skirt to be between an A-line and a circle. I don't want it full circle, but it should be wide enough that it can accommodate a petticoat or slimmer hoop. As for length, I'd like it to be 37" from waist to hem. The deadline is neither immediate nor set in stone, but I'd prefer earlier rather than later. Please have examples ready of similar styled pieces you've done before bidding! Thank you! Keywords: cotton, lace, ribbon, fabric, wool, stin
