We're launching this dashboard later this year in the hopes of making a splash in the business world. Later on, we'll definitely need additional work from the winning designer and perhaps some of the runner-up designers as well to build more UI concepts, develop a logo, icons, and more. Business software Describe the target audience for your website design The audience is business executives, managers, and employees of Fortune 1000 companies. Often, companies set goals that they want to accomplish at the end of the quarter but typically don't reach them due to a lack of accountability. By using our online dashboard, these businesses can document what goals they have created and the tasks they need to accomplish to reach those goals. Users will be periodically reminded when they are falling behind on their goals. What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design The design should be clean, professional, and modern. How is your company different from your competitors? People should use our online dashboard because it delivers results. What website design styles do you like? See attached zip file for samples from other things I like. - Corral.jpg has a neat icon interface - Tango_Dashboard.jpg is interesting as an initial screen - secondlife-dashboard.png is very much along the feel I like... nice and clean, particularly in how it uses a darker background with white boxes for the text. - ShareIn.png is also a nice clean look I really like the slick UI in https://www.mycmc.co.uk/ -- it's a financial dashboard that allows you to bet on the financial markets. We're doing the same for business planning. Create a free demo account on that site (takes 2 minutes, no verification required) and play around with the interface. Very slick and professional and great use of colors. Combine that site with some of the concepts used in the secondlife-dashboard screenshot and that's along the lines of what I'm looking for. What colors do you want to see in your website design? The company theme is a dark shade of red so that should be present. Other than that, be creative! The design should appeal to a professional audience, so uses of things like dark background gradients with black text on white panels, and cooler colors are preferred. What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design? Some of the stats will have a red/yellow/green status, but other than that avoid the use of yellow, orange, brown, and so on in the major design elements. What adjectives should best describe your website design? Slick, cool, clean. What content must be included in the website design? See attached PDF for wireframes. Note that the wireframes are to show what functionality should be included and a general representation of the layout. However, as long as you keep the functionality there feel free to alter how it looks, rearrange where things are on the page, and so on. What I'm looking for are great visual designs, clear button designs, icons, headings and other UI elements, use of fonts, and various other graphical elements. The initial push is to get the design nailed down and there will be additional work as we build in more features and need additional graphical elements, icon sets, and perhaps a logo. Please provide skins for all 5 pages -- mostly this will be reusing the header/footer/background created for one page and adding in the custom elements. In total, there will be over 40 pages in the site but these 5 represent a good cross section of what concepts will be included.
