I am designing a website for a wholesale nursery and grower of perennials and flowerbulbs. Here are the preliminary selection criteria (or search preferences) that we would have to provide for visitors to the client's site: Latin name, color, size, how many units in a package, pricing (and whether or not there is a volume discount available for a particular source), grower, height, bloom time, hardiness zone, heat zone, availability (i.e., when the bulbs would be shipped), special features (these would include a unique icon for each of the following: full sun, partial sun, full shade, fragrance, cut flower applicability, deer resistancy, attractiveness to hummingbirds, attractiveness to butterflies, images, and maybe one or two more). In addition, we would need a way to capture a customer's contact info (basic stuff like name, company name, address, etc.) plus order preferences (like tags or no tags, whether they would accept substitutions or not, what shipping dates they prefer, and whether they would opt in for e-mail solicitations about any relevant specials, certain product lines, or anything else).
