Our company is in the process of building a Fantasy Football for politics, a uniquely political online game. We have CTO/advisor who has helped us design the database structure and need a developer who can come on board and help us build out the game to share with our potential partners. We've received substantial interest from CNN and Politico, the first two out of three media outlets we approached, about wanting to see a demo of the game and discuss a potential partnership. The company has already been covered by Huffington Post and ABC News. Our first investor is a top member of the executive management team in the Democratic National Committee. The company was founded by a Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School trained serial entrepreneur. If you're a political junkie, a developer and are willing to work for a significant chunk of equity for the first couple of months and then for monetary compensation as well once we're funded, shoot us a note with your resume and cover letter. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: � Responsible for the primary development and implementation of a new online game SUMMARY OF TECHNOLOGIES TO BE USED (but not limited to): � Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Open source framework technologies (CodeIgniter, Zend, Symfony), jQuery, AJAX, Rails Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience developing web applications, including but not limited to PHP, Linux, Apache, MySql, JavaScript, XML, HTML, HAML, SASS - Must have solid database skills, in either SQL of MySql - Must have FULL life cycle development experience... you will be expected to help in all phases of the development process � Thorough working knowledge of Rails. Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.. � Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized. � Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
