Creating content for a Mathematics Syllabus (Age 10-11)
Briefing Private Tuition Services is looking to hire someone to help create questions for a Mathematics syllabus for students aged 9-11. Bidders who have knowledge in the key stage 2 Maths curriculum will be favoured, however this is not a requirement. This job posting will require the winning bidder to create content for only a small part of the syllabus. If the job is done well, there is further opportunity to take on more of the syllabus. For this reason, multiple winners may be awarded at this initial stage. The winning bidder(s) will need to have the following skills ? Comprehensive maths skills ? Be familiar with the level of difficulty required (9-11 years) ? Ability to formulate questions ? Computer Design capabilities (including drawing 2D and 3D shapes, pie charts, Venn diagrams, graphs, pictographs) The winning bidder(s) will be creating questions for the following areas (the number of questions that need to be created are in brackets) Handling Data: Topic 17 - Analysing Information ? 17A: Tables (30 questions) ? 17B: Line graphs, bar charts and pie charts (30 questions) ? 17C: Pictographs (20 questions) ? 17D: Venn Diagrams (30 questions) ? 17E: Frequency tables (30 questions) Example questions and links to useful resources have been included in this posting. Further information and guidance will be given to successful bidders via Skype. This is a small project, which should not take too long. If the work is done to a high enough level, there will be further opportunities to create questions for a larger part of the syllabus. Screening Process To help with the screening process, please provide details as to why you will be suited for this particular role and any skills you have that you think are relevant. A shortlist of candidates will then be created. If you are successful in progressing to this stage, you will be asked to take part in a 15-minute Skype interview. The screening process is not just for this posted project (which is a small task), but also for the much bigger project. Once the project has been awarded, the winning bidder will be contacted regularly through Skype. You will be required to provide regular updates on progress and also be available to be given feedback on work completed.
