Guitar and Piano Song Encoders
Job Description We are urgently looking for encoders who can encode songs in Music XML formats and Guitar Pro formats (GP5 and GP6). The software used to perform the encoding ie.. Sibelius, Finale, or Guitar Pro does not matter as long as we can receive the deliverables in the appropriate output format. We have three types of encoding needs: 1. Clean Up We have existing MusicXML or Guitar Pro files which will require some adjustments. We will provide PDF music sheets and lyrics which will serve as reference for the adjustments required. Attention will be required to audio playback as well, including correct instrument selection and effects. As relatively little work is expected for clean up jobs, fast turn around time would be expected. Songs will be handed out for encoding in groups of 5, with additional songs ready to hand over as soon as deliverables are handed over. 2. Encoding using provided PDF music sheets Songs in will need to be encoded using reference sheet music. Encoding should match the sheet music precisely with the exception that repeats and other factors may have to be expanded to include lyrics. Attention will be required to audio playback as well, including correct instrument selection and effects. Expectations will need to be set around hours required per song for encoding. 3. Interpretation of songs from audio or video Songs will be encoded using only audio or video references and subject to interpretation of the encoder. We will provide guidelines for the interpretation. Songs should be interpreted to varying levels of difficulty - discussed per song. Payment Payment will depend on complexity of the song, number of tracks or instruments to be encoded, and the number of measures to be encoded. Payment incentives will be provided for rapid turnaround time. Scope We need thousands of songs in our song store so this will be an ongoing project.
