Hello, My name is Daniel Haynes, a representative for Melvin Haynes Transport, llc, a national freight carrier, and Logistics Company headquartered in Charleston, SC, but over the past year our company has also extended ourselves in the Consulting business, providing services to new and experienced Owner Operators/ Carriers that are looking to get into the business. We assist them from A-Z, in which we provide them with a solid business structure, along with seeking out and locating the right equipment for their operations. The reason I am writing you today, because my company has an interest in structuring our very own finance program/business (which will be a separate entity from our current operations). By having this structure in place will give us the ability to provide our clients with a ?one-stop-shop? program, where we are not just only offering consultant services, but simple and easy financing as well. Basically what we are looking for is an inexpensive creative finance method that we can incorporate into our very own financial program/business that will allow us to extend credit/financing to buyers of titled equipment (mostly semi trucks, and trailers). We are looking to structure a collateral based ?Second Chance?, no credit check funding program, whereas each deal will be structured and based around the book value of the assets collateral/equipment being purchased, along with meeting certain driver qualifications, and down payment requirements, in which the funder/lender would hold title until payoff (similar to title financing). By having this finance structure in place not only would it generate more business on our consultant side, but give us the ability to set-up, structure, and offer various other collateral based funding services in the future such as floor plan funding for automotive and equipment dealers. My company also has a deep interest in discussing and reviewing options on our ability to pool, enhance, and securitize our portfolio of ?assets backed? subprime equipment and automotive loans. We are open to all options such as, either working with a company that is currently doing and/or providing this type of service, in which we can set-up, structure, and incorporate our loans/portfolio within their pool, or securitize and service these loans ourselves, (we have access to purchase other portfolios at discount through our dealer network as well). My company is looking for a creative but successful method/structure that we can incorporate into our day-to-day operations turning it into a full fledge business.
