Job Description Corporate Communications Specialist IV General Summary: Assists in planning and execution of employee communications delivered via Web, intranet and print. Ensures that XO Communications’ overall mission, objectives and key corporate messages are communicated positively, accurately, effectively and consistently to employees. Helps maintain and enforce company positioning and branding in all communications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assists in the development of strategic plans and manages the development of employee communication materials in accordance to overall business goals. 2. Develops and executes plans for the design, writing and delivery of employee communication materials, to include, but not limited to executive communications and presentations, emails, conference calls, memos, etc. This includes regular updates of the XO employee intranet site and creation and placement of internal employee communications. 3. Creates highly advanced multimedia presentations by incorporating audio and video. 4. Develops and edits film and video projects. 5. Provides Web content migration support. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field, such as English, Communications, or Marketing or equivalent skills and knowledge gained through work experience. • Licensures: N/A • Relevant Work Experience: 7-10 years of Employee Communications or Corporate Communications experience. Specific Computer Skills Software • MS Office • Adobe Photoshop • Adobe Dreamweaver • Apple Final Cut Pro • HTML Hardware • Video Operating Systems • Windows • Apple OS Other Job Specific Skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Strong project management skills. • Strong technical aptitude for intranet and web based solutions, including social media and new media. • May be asked to travel to corporate events. (5% of the Time) • Experience developing and maintaining intranets/websites. • Ability to counsel and influence others.
