Job Description We are an International Telecom wholesale carrier, we trade routes for International calls termination- meaning our customers (carriers) who send to our switch international calls (for example to China, Israel, Uganda....) we send them via our International private network to the local Telephone company switch in such countries, or we send (route) same traffic to other carriers (our vendors/suppliers) who have better rate (price) to send same calls to the destination country to terminate the calls. What you need to know is: that we trade (buy and sale) termination services between carriers, vendors/suppliers are sending us their rates sheet (mostly as excel attachment) first column the country name, second column the destination International code (i.p. 9725) third the rate per minute they are going to charge us to terminate the international traffic when we send the call from our switch their switch. On the other hand our customers are also sending us in excel sheet their targets (1th column the country name (I.p Israel Mobile) second column the rate/Minute they are willing to buy at (i.p $0.035) next column the expected traffic per day, week, or month) for each International destination. For now we keep all the Vendors/suppliers rate sheet in two separate files, one Called “Rates By xyz” supplier, and “Target rates by XYZ” customer. And when we need to match buy and sales for particular country we run the Windows search for particular country and Windows bring up all the excel sheet names that has such country we open them and see what is our buy and asked (target rates) if we find a profit margins we send request to our tech to make test calls with our suppliers if OK then program our switch to send the calls we get (for such destination) from our customer to our supplier switch for call termination. What we need from you is to write a program to go every few minutes or by demand, take the Suppliers/customers excel rate sheets (from a designated files) upload them into a database (Access/SQL) so we can generate reports via web based user interface as to what countries (based on name of destination ( I.p. China Beijing) or its specific International code (8610), what is our buy rates from various Suppliers and what is the asking (target) rates of our customers , we might filter the search by other criteria like, route quality, margin (different between buy and ask rates)…. We also would like the program to generate such reports automatically every day and send the report (in excel sheet) to several emails…. The challenge is that not all the suppliers/customer are sending the excel sheet at the same format, some may only have destination name only and rates and date it was submitted, some may have destination name , code and date, some may have same plus one or two columns as to its quality (CLI, ASR, ACD..columns ). However we would like the data base to be populated with all possible/provided info, to do that we will cheat another file that will have a master excel sheet that has the names of all world destinations and the specific International code for each destinations) for you to refer to and update the field when the suppliers did not supplied such codes in its excel sheet.
