A community website for which allows various events to be consolidated under one URL for members to access. Comprehensive support is needed through inception, design, implementation and post roll-out period, possibly ongoing. Key considerations/features: NB: Just an executive summary. We can discuss things further once we commence the project with you. There is more functionality in addition to what's below. 1. Community members will register and view available events with times, venues costs etc. They may want sms or emailnotification/reminder. They will have a personalised calendar to which they add events and may want to print out a clean weekly, monthy or yearly calendar view of the events they've added. They may share (email, facebook, twitter etc) the event to which they have subscribes/added to their calendar. An internal messaging system could be used, notification being sent directly to the registrants email. 2. Event hosts will register and post events into the pool/database of events. They may upload images, posters, videos (webcam or file or embed youtube clips etc.) They will have the ability to modify/update their respective events. Hosts may have multiple events and will need a management system to coordinate and manage events via their registered web account. Events may cost money eventually so scalability is paramount. They may use the same venue repeatedly, for instance, and should not have to type every nuance of their events each time; perhaps "duplicate" function or pre-populated "new event" form. They may want to sell tickets to the event and thus paypal integration will need to be considered for them. 3. Advertisers will register and upload banners/posters/flash animations relating to their business product/service. They will pay a fee depending on the location on page, frequency, size, format etc. This transaction will require paypal/credit card integration [secure/trustworthy]. They will have their own periodic statistical updates emailed to show advert performance (views, clicks etc). 4. Administator(s) will have uninhibited access to maintain and manage everything without the use of web knowledge or programming. 5. Moderators could be used to verify advertising, event and other content. They will receive notification with a url pointing to the "published" view of the content and accept/deny/conditional acceptance (suggested changes, spelling, material appropriateness etc) 6. A marketplace where admin-sold products will be available for purchase (gallery, shopping cart, secure payment systems etc). Scalability here is key as in the future registered users may want to sell their items in an private manner, much like ebay or carsales, for instance, but not an auction-style emarket. * Clean user-friendly design (no clutter or volumous jungles of links and content) * Speedy and functionally arranged * reliable and robust (validation and security) * perhaps a wizard-style convention or maybe you have some designer ideas that will be gladly considered. Imagination and innovative thinking welcomed. * complete automation (functionally speaking, think moodle), but a little more sophisticated. *Tracking entry/exit points, length of visit, pages visited, total visits and other statistics to be collected and dynamically updated, available for printing reports for potential advertisers, to include financials and other data. * simple and effective search option * Domain name, webspace scripting etc will need to be included, do not include that in your proposal costs. It will be paid for seperately. It will be a grand undertaking and your mastery of design and technical skill will be most welcomed.
