Linux Admin/System Admin - Computer
Compensation: $60,000-$90,000 commensurate with expertise level and past compensation. US Citizens, Green Card holders only please. Key responsibilities include: 1. Maintaining software patches for all Linux servers 2. Build servers from virtual and bare machines 3. Configuring and maintaining network services on servers 4. Maintain disk space 5. Write shell scripts to automate common administration tasks 6. Maintain machines using VMware administration tools Required Skills - in order of importance with years of experience needed 1. Linux (RHEL) systems administration 2. VMWare Infrastructure 3. Strong background in Networks Preferred Skills - with years of experience needed 1. Understanding of Oracle middleware (WebLogic) and database (10g, 11g) technologies 2. Understanding of Rational suite of software development tools (e.g., ClearCase, ClearQuest, RSA) 3. Understanding of various hardware and software interoperability and the installation and configuration process 4. Understanding of system and network engineering principles and system backup and recovery best practices 5. Working knowledge of Redhat Satellite Server 6. Understanding of government security guidelines and standards 7. Understanding of automated audit log collection & analysis tools Primary duites: 1. Support work order's development and sustainment activities (server buildouts, service restarts, log file analysis, etc.) 70% 2. Maintaining Linux servers 20% 3.
