Overview Currently the website -r-us.com has a small subscription base of customers who pay $20 annually to be able to access any audio or video content from the site. We would like the same application to be built on BlackBerry & Android. As this is the pilot project between the client and the developer we would suggest a discounted service rate. Technical Details The server is hosted on a Windows 2003 Server using Apache, PHP and MySQL. Subscription and payment information is handled via PayPal using my personal account ...... FTP and database information will be disclosed once proposal is accepted. Requirements The process for using the application should be the same as the online version: ? So a customer will download the app ($5). ? Once they open the app and login they will be able to access the same list that they can get online. ? If they do not have a login they can register for free (locally), and subscribe (with PayPal) for $15 - getting a discount of $5 if they're using BB & Android. ? Once payment is accepted, the customer returns to the main page which updates their information in the local database to allow them access to all content on the site. ? Rather than physically downloading the audio or video there will be an option to stream it. This only applies if the file ends in extension .mp3 ? If there is only a zip file then currently it must be downloaded and unzipped in order to play the audio. (Not sure if BB & Android will support zip files) ? Statistics will be updated to show each time a user (login id) streams an audio file The web app should look simple but still match the theme of the website. It must support streaming of audio files using whatever software plays audio on BB. There must be the ability to allow any customers that are not subscribed to use PayPal to pay for access. This must then update the local database with their new status including the PayPal transaction number and date. All listings should follow the same sort and search functionality that currently exists on the website. My budget for this requirement is maximum 2000 USD. Terms & Conditions All currency is quoted in $USD If the end result is deemed unacceptable or incomplete then the client will not be held liable for development time. Prior to any work being completed there must be formal sign-off from both parties involved agreeing that the project is feasible within a certain amount of hours/days. All software or database changes required for this project must go through a change request process with the client. Any source files used shall be made accessible to us for future changes/development. Kindly send the proposal in the detailed format covering all our requirement otherwise your bid will be rejected.
