Job Description Phone & Web Reservation System Phone User calls an assigned telephone number. They are presented with a greeting. Example: Thank You for calling the reservation system to make a reservation please listen to the following list of options: To confirm a reservation press 1 To make reservation for today press 2 To make a future reservation press 3 When caller presses 1 they are prompted to enter their reservation number (If the reservation number is entered correctly the reservation details are announced) When caller presses 2 they are asked to input on their keypad the 4 digit time they are requesting for their reservation, they are then prompted for a.m. (if the time they are calling is in the a.m.; the system recognizes the system time) If the time is available the caller is asked a series of questions in which they are prompted to speak the answers. Answers are saved into the database and that time is blocked for future callers based on the number of slots available for that time set by the administrator When the caller presses 3 they are asked to input on their keypad the eight digit month, day and year of their future reservation, the system confirms the date and then they are asked to input on their keypad the 4 digit time they are requesting for their reservation, they are then prompted for a.m. (if the time they are calling is in the a.m.; the system recognizes the system time) If the time is available the caller is asked a series of questions in which they are prompted to speak the answers. Answers are saved into the database and that time is blocked for future callers based on the number of slots available for that time set by the administrator. All data is saved into the database. This application should also have a web based version as well. I am thinking that this application will either need a speech to text engine or user will use touch tones and be assigned a random reservation number. Users will enter their cell phone and cell phone will receive an sms message so many minutes before reservation time. Please list your prior experience and the best possible solution for this job.
