Job Description: The scientist will participate in safety biomarker method development and validation projects, fit for purpose validation (s), and biological qualification (s), identify and develop novel approaches and technologies to advance safety biomarker science. The candidate is required to have detailed understanding and knowledge of standard clinical laboratory techniques and methods, and safety biomarker development and have applied knowledge in platform/assay assessment, methods development and test validation. Experience with development and validation of in vitro biomarkers (ex. ELISA, Luminex, Immnoassay, FLOW) is necessary. Accordingly, applied skills and proficiency in methods development and test validation, study planning, study design, sample analysis, data interpretation and presentation, data review, various computer software applications, and basic statistics are required. The laboratory is focused on protein-based, nanotechnology, emerging non-protein based assays, immunoassays and flow cytometry. Additional responsibilities include participation in routine clinical pathology sample analysis from animal models for Hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation parameters. The ideal candidate will have: -A minimum BS (5 years current experience) or MS or PhD (3 years current experience) in Medical technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, (ASCP certification or equivalent) or other biological science. -Experience in all areas of the clinical pathology laboratory (hematology, clinical chemistry, Coagulation, immunoassays urinalysis etc.) is desired. -Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines and previous experience with animal models a plus. -We are seeking an independent thinking, knowledge-seeking, creative, and self-motivated scientist that appreciates a team approach.
