Backend Developer (Video streaming) on LAMP stack
Job Description I need several projects handled on my LAMP stack. This job is an audition for a yearlong contract to administer my servers. Upon purchase of one of my products from a site (via PayPal and WordPress), I need to include a password and access to a streaming video hosted on my server. That access/password must expire after seven days. If you do not know how to set up an expiring password, how to email a password upon purchase through the WP Simple Shopping Cart plugin, or how to create a page to host the video in WordPress, please do not respond. To get this job: (1) Describe your method in detail for creating a table in a MySQL database to hold expiring passwords. (2) Do not be an agency; I will not hire an agency or deal with a business manager. If you are not a developer, I will not deal with you. (3) Be willing to pair program; you'll be instructing me on implementation. I do not provide server access to strangers--this is my livelihood, and I am an experienced web developer, so instructing me via Gchat or Skype is how we will be proceeding. (4) Speak English well enough to communicate with me. I do not care if you have an accent, but if you are not comprehensible, I cannot learn from you.
