The obesity epidemic has struck the family dog and cat. Too many treats and not enough exercise have combined to make more than 50 percent of cats and dogs overweight or obese, according to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention. Experts are seeing more obese pets than ever before, due partly to increased awareness about the dangers. It’s a serious problem. Overweight and obese pets are at higher risk for diabetes, joint pain, high blood pressure and other weight-related diseases and injuries, experts say. Pet owners, we want to hear from you.
