Web Site Testing
Another group is building an ecommerce web site. I need a group familiar with automated testing and monitoring of web sites to provide the following: 1) Live monitoring (like http://www.siteuptime.com/) (or we could just use siteuptime or similar.) 2) Ongoing testing of the web site functionality itself� On the testing side, I need you to give me tools suggestions. Should we use selenium, watir, or what? We want to test for broken links, verification of the ecommerce portion of the site (as much as possible without incurring fees from the credit card processor), tests for missing images, etc. Security testing is a plus. Performance testing is a minor plus. An SEO review is a big plus. Load testing is a minor plus. Cross browser testing is a must. Appearance testing (across browsers) is also a must, whether it can be automated is an interesting question. There are a lot of tools out there for this sort of thing, I want to know what tools you would use to implement this project and why you would choose those tools. Also describe your experience with those tools, and provide sites that you have tested if you have any.
