Programmer and Developer for Web-Application (Online Stone Design)
Job Description WorldWide StoneWorks is looking to develop an online web-application and website that gives customers the ability to design custom stone products online. The interactive-design tool will provide customers with all of the necessary instruments and functions in order to allow them to manipulate text and graphics on a two-dimensional plane to their specifications within the confines of a pre-loaded stone image. The tool will provide a real-time realistic 2-d appearance of their product as they design; and finally, upon completion, it will give the customer the option to order their custom-designed product. The tool will be capable of importing custom graphics and images to their design space which can all be saved to their online account. The web-application, which relies heavily on JavaScript and html5 techniques, will operate within a fully-integrated, yet simple and clean, website. The rest of the website will rely on more traditional techniques – mostly for delivering information. This project also requires the development of a MySQL database that will work within the website’s framework. Each component is already nearly 70% pre-developed and it must simply be finalized and hard-coded (including the website). This position involves working as part of a self managed, close knit, and highly motivated entrepreneurial team. We are looking for developers with a broad range of experience, but mostly we want smart people who can get things done…we have a tight deadline.
