Onsite Linguist with Portuguese (Brazil) Expertise based in San Paolo, Brazil
This position is based in country (12 month assignment) **Preference to those with experience in IT, Marketing, E-commerce industries** 20 – 40 hours a week • French (Paris) • Chinese (T) (Taipei) • Chinese (S)(Beijing) • Indonesian (Singapore) • Portuguese (BR, Sao Paolo) • German (Hamburg) • Turkish (Istanbul) • Hebrew (Tel Aviv or Haifa) • Czech (Prague possibly Dublin) • Norwegian (Bokmal Oslo) • Thai (Singapore) Do you have a passion for language? Our client’s mission is to make all of the world's information universally accessible, useful and fun. The goal is ensure that it is a priority for far more than just English language products. The Onsite Language professional is required to: Responsibilities - Review and audit content translated by agencies (UI, Help, Marketing materials, Legal, etc.). Provide feedback and work with vendors to improve quality of translations. - Help ensure quality requirements are followed by all vendors. - Maintain terminology in glossaries and TMs as required. - Fix linguistic bugs as required. - Interact with translators and other reviewers in linguistic discussions. - Liaise with internal stakeholders when necessary. Requirements - BA/BS in translation or a related discipline. - 2 years of experience preferred. - Fields of experience: IT, online advertising, multimedia. - Detail-oriented, quality-focused, flexible and proactive. - Knowledge of CAT tools, Idiom preferred.
