PHP session handling with dynamoDB
Project involves the development of a simple extension to PHP's native session handling mechanism. Objective is to use Amazon's NoSQL DB (DynamoDB) as a backend for storing sessions (instead of storing session data in files as is the default PHP behavior) Scope of the project includes the creation of simple deployment notes. The requirement is for the extension to be easy to apply for all apps running on a given application node via simple php.ini configuration. DB details and credentials would of course reside in a separate config file. We plan to release the code in open source so you should be willing to hand over all code copyrights. Payment after successful launch and 1 week of problem free operations on the production environment. Questions: 1. On a very high level, what technical issues you would need to tackle for such a solution when working with a high traffic ajax heavy app? How do you plan to solve those? 2. How would you deploy the solution? e.g. which php config values would you need to modify to embed this solution on all apps running on the array of application servers? Desired Skills: PHP, Amazon Web Services, dynamoDB, nosql Keywords: Web Programming, Service, Web, PHP, dynamoDB, Amazon, nosql
