Overview of the application We run a SAAS accounting application that we have been developing for more than 1 year and that is used by about 1000 people. This application is composed of two interconnected parts: - A Java / Hibernate back-end which expose a SOAP web service as well as some JSPs / servlets. - A Flex 4 front-end dedicated to our users. ********************************************* Context We want to refactor this application to integrate it into our existing continuous integration system (with Hudson / Maven / Unit & integration tests). We are already getting good result on the back-end part with the following modifications: - Setting up Spring 3. - Writing unit tests with JUnit. - Integrating it with Maven and Hudson. We need help to do the same refactoring in our Flex front-end. ********************************************* Description of the mission We are looking for a mentor that can: - Carry out an audit of our current Flex codebase. - Make detailed recommendations on how to refactor the code to get it integrated with our integration system. - Implement some of these recommendations Therefore, we are looking for a Flex / Java expert that has a perfect knowledge of Flex (and its frameworks) linked to a Java back-end via SOAP and has already implemented Flex unit tests (with frameworks like FlexUnit, FlexMonkey, ?) in a continuous integration environment (with Hudson / Maven). Possible concrete tasks you will assist us on: - Refactor the Flex project with a new design pattern, potentially with a framework (Caringorn, PureMVC ?). - Integrate the project in our continuous integration environment. - Help us set up unit / integration tests. ********************************************* Required competencies The following technologies and concepts are absolutely required: - Flex 4 and Java J2EE - Web services with SOAP in both Flex & Java (Spring 3) - Flex frameworks (Cairngorm, PureMVC, ?) - Flex unit testing (FlexUnit, FlexMonkey, ?) - Maven & Hudson Desired Skills: ActionScript, Flex, J2EE, SOAP, QA Keywords: Flash & Flex Animation, Flex, QA, ActionScript, J2EE, SOAP
