Job Description I need a Senior Mobile Software Analyst/Programmer to develop a field service software application. This application should be developed in .Net C# using a development tool called monotouch http://xamarin.com/monotouch?gclid=COPv8573jK0CFUsaQgodRlNtnA I will provide this tool for the developers use during the project. Doing it this way will allow development and maintenance of a single code base that can be deployed across multiple platforms. The first deployment will be for iPad and Android running on Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus. Detailed application specifications will be provided to the selected candidate. However here is a brief narrative of what is envisioned. The application UI should be a series of balls floating around the main screen. Each ball represents an area of field service job expertise. Example, a home energy inspector, a plumber, an electrician and so on. When the user touches on of these balls the main form for the selected job expertise will open. This will be a list of jobs to do for the day. Next a job is selected and the next form opens showing the details of the job. Example: On left part of the form a Job Title, a short description of the purpose for the service call, customer contact name, contact phone, email etc. On the right side is a map which uses GPS to show the service tech's current location and the route to the customers location. It should also include time to customer. Later when the Tech arrives, the GPS will "punch the tech in" and when he leaves will "punch him out". All of this information will flow back to the back office computer over a private vpn or cell phone operator network (i.e. AT&T). So the Tech completes the work, receives payment from the customer or a sign off if this was an inspection, the information is stored in a database on the device and transmitted over the connection.
