Hi I am setting up a site where users can purchase videos and am looking for the best way to protect them. I would like to store all of the videos outside of the public_html folder so they can't be directly downloaded. All videos are encoded in H264 MP4. I am not sure if its possible but I would like to have a php script check that the member logged in has purchased the video he is trying to watch before starting the stream. I do have flash media server installed on the server, no idea if that would help or not. Would prefer not to use it.
