Position Overview: • Office and home based position • Full time work, Monday to Friday, minimum 8 hrs per day, work hours are 7am - 4pm, start asap Major responsibilities: The Web Developer assists the company by implementing on-page SEO work for our clients with accuracy in line with SEO Systems that increase the web rank of our client’s websites. • Make changes to titles, headings and content changes to websites on various platforms, from static page websites, to CMS’s including Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal and Mambo. • Assist in developing security systems to ensure client’s website credentials are stored safely • Develop custom Web Applications to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our IT Systems. • Take static HTML sites and re-create the same design in wordpress. • Make design and coding changes to all types of sites from static HTML pages to various CMS’s including Joomla, Mambo, Wordpress, Drupal and other custom made CMS • Develops and creates dozens of wordpress templates for information based news type sites. • Make changes at the database level when required for custom made CMS solutions • Develop solutions to make on-page SEO solutions for sites built on unfamiliar CMS platforms • Clean up sites thoroughly that are infected with Malware and or other malicious code. • Modify parts or a whole site’s Design so that it reflects the latest standards of HTML. • Undertaking project work or reasonable duties as requested by the direct manager. • Work on internal web projects as required by direct manager. • Build websites using technologies that conform to the latest international web standards. Required Skills • Expert knowledge of producing table less XHTML, HTML/CSS, PHP, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, able to create standards compliant cross browser sites, and good • Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, PHP and dynamic HTML; experience with Macromedia Flash. • Understanding of Mod Rewrite and HTAccess functions • Comfortable working with sites built on both Microsoft and Linux based servers. • Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centred design, and experience with web database solutions definite assets. • Professional verbal and written communication skills • Customer/client focused • Time management • Initiative, proactive and takes ownership • Problem solving • Team player • Have working knowledge of HTML5.0, and be comfortable using the most popular off the shelf CMS platforms including Wordpress, Joomla, Mambo and Drupal. • Be able to create clean, efficient database driven web applications when required. • Have a quiet, distraction free work space • Fast and reliable internet connection Keywords: Other - Web Development, flash, marketing, xhtml, adobe, drupal, html, seo, joomla, wordpress, css, photoshop
