Indesign Extension for Automation of Album Creation
I am looking for an album layout automator. Basically I want an extension that when you click on it you are given a menu to perform the following options. First you draw a rectangle box in the area of the spread you want to automate. Then you will click on the extension which will do the following 1. The script allows you to enter the number of vertical, horizontal, and square images you want in the spread (Horizontal and vertical images are set to the 3:2 ratio that photos are typically shot in) 2. The script allows you to set a key line stroke to whatever pixel you want along with setting the color of it. 3. The script allows you to set the gap between the boxes that are created (in inches) 4. The script has a checkbox giving the option of whether or not to fill in the frame proportionally. 5. The script will also have an "Open Folder of Images to Use" (much like mini-bridge but instead of just being able to drag the images to the layout, it also places an "x" over the image in the script letting you know it has already been used. 6. You also have an option after the layout is created to flip or rotate the boxes and swap images if you want. The random boxes created by entering the number of verticals, horizontals, and square images must be completely random and always laid out differently in the spread. There are many scripts out there but none that I have found that performs this way. All of the "make grid" scripts makes the boxes even.
