Dot NET / Crystal Reports Developer
Reporting to the Engineering, Validation, and Maintenance Systems Engineering Group Manager, the Systems Engineering Contractor is responsible for developing, implementing and/or maintaining information systems as specified in the scope of work . Responsibilities: • Maintain critical (20x7, zero downtime) validated manufacturing computer information systems utilizing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) technology, databases, system interfaces and intranet facilities. • Perform software debugging including analysis, modification and testing; write thorough and comprehensive unit and integration test plans and validation protocols for software modifications; participate in peer code reviews; work with peer groups, including Quality, to document and justify necessity of modifications. • Work with Manufacturing, as well as other Pfizer Specialty Care departments and external contractors, to conduct design studies and develop system specification documents. • Evaluate and propose technical solutions to manufacturing issues. Evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and vendors as required. • Develop software or recommend tools to support the ongoing integration of plant floor manufacturing control and information systems. • Prepare, revise, and review engineering documentation including operating and maintenance procedures, software engineering design standards and guidelines, system specifications as well as quality/validation documentation. • Assist in development of end-user and maintenance training materials such as web pages and manuals. • When appropriate, conduct project design review and/or status meetings for sponsoring departments and management. Support the Legacy manufacturing execution systems (MES2, MES3) environment decommissioning plan, specifically the manufacturing data archival and reporting component in parallel with Project Phase I. • Supporting implementation of eBRs in Suite A/B and C/D in parallel with Project Phase II to replace paper MFRs. • Support existing paper batch record template application. Provide deployment support for the AMPS application; through the middle of 2013. Successful completion of this scope of work will be evidenced by completion of the individual project deliverables • Activities Touch Time: MES/MCAS decommissioning support as detailed below 500 • Upgrade the existing MES Reporting Tool to a current .NET framework version. This is required for support over the expected life of the data (2-4 years online). • Update standards, procedures, and specifications for MES Reporting Tool, including archival instructions for each system to be executed during system decommissioning. • Provide additional reports for MES recipe execution data (3-4 additional reports) – AMPS system support 1800 • In parallel to Phase I, support Archival of existing data as above. • In parallel to Phase II, development of eBRs for Suite A/B and Suites C/D. • Support existing Batch Record Template application Qualifications: • BS/MS (and minimum of 5 years experience) or AS (and minimum of 7 years experience) in an engineering or computer science discipline directly supporting the design, implementation, and production support of computer information systems in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and maintenance of Microsoft .NET applications. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the development of Oracle database applications and PL/SQL procedures • A minimum of 5 years experience in the deployment and support of MES solutions • Experience with SCADA integration via OPC is highly desirable. • Experience with debugging JAVA-based systems is a plus. • Experience with redundant, high availability computer systems is a plus. • Experience in other technical areas, such as hardware and operating system support is a plus.
