Web-based Office Management Program
Job Description SUMMARY: Small, independent photography studio is in need of a web-based office management program. This includes client management (CRM), scheduling appointments, invoicing, receiving payments, order tracking / status, invoicing, etc. THE BASICS: Invoicing needs to interface with Quickbooks (preferred but not required). Appointments need to be able to be made online and interface with Google apps. Capability to send reminder emails or SMS text messages. Basically, we are trying to streamline our processes in the office. We would like for our customer to have the capability of going online to schedule an appointment that will interface directly with our database and scheduler. PLEASE NOTE: There is NO PHOTO EDITING COMPONENT OR INCORPORATION. At the very best, we may upload a thumbnail of the client to their customer record to identify them. I AM NOT LOOKING TO BUILD A WEBSITE. I NEED A WEB-BASED APPLICATION THAT IS GOING TO BE DESIGNED FROM THE GROUND UP. CURRENT SITUTATION: Our current software is Successware and it just isn't keeping up with our needs. A free trial download can be found at www.successware.net. The current database structure is 4d, but I would like something a bit more current. With any luck, I'd like us to be able to use this on tablet over a wireless network so we don't need to be stuck at a desktop computer. APPLICANT EXPECTATIONS: Fluent in English and able to understand. I shouldn't have to repeat myself 2 or 3 times because something gets lost in translation. We are looking for good support and service from whoever we hire. TIMELINE AND BUDGET: We are currently in our slow season and am hoping we can start using this new program in June 2012. We're a small operation with a total of 4 employees, so budget is a consideration. FUTURE / RESALE: We have no plans for re-selling this software at this time. However, depending on the success of this project, we are also considering the development of a mobile application.
