DUTIES:   Cell cultivation (shake flasks and bioreactors)   Culture sampling and analysis   Equipment preparation   Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments   Maintaining consumables inventory Additional tasks will include data entry and analysis, experiment design, and preparation of experiment protocols and reports.  The candidate should be able to work independently and in a multifunctional team with members from purification, analytical and support groups.  SKILLS: Required Skills & Experience   Aseptic operations (experience with biosafety level 2 agents preferred)   Handling and cultivation of mammalian cell cultures   Operation of cell culture laboratory equipment and instruments (bioreactors, bioanalyzers, cell counters, centrifuges, etc.) Desirable Skills & Experience   Statistical experiment design methodologies (DOE)   Experience working in a cGMP environment   Experience in process development of vaccines or biopharmaceuticals  EDUCATION: BS Biological Sciences or Engineering and 0-4+ years of experience MS Biological Sciences or Engineering and 0-2+ years of experience Start Date: 03/05/2012 Hours Per Week: 40.00 Est.
