Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical client of ours is looking for Research Associate Scientist, ELISA in La Jolla, CA Description: The Dept. of Biochemistry and Primary Screening is seeking a temporary full time Research Associate Scientist. The candidate will be involved in the performance and/or development, optimization and automation of routine cell-based assays under the direction and supervision of a Senior Scientist for the testing of small molecule compounds. After completing experiments, analysis and publication of data is required using company-based software, plus accurate maintenance of a laboratory notebook. In addition, the candidate will be growing and maintaining multiple cell lines, diluting compounds, making buffers and reagents, checking inventories and ordering lab supplies. Requirements Requirements: Strong laboratory skills, general knowledge of sterilization, and tissue culture techniques required Expertise in variety of cell-based assays with hands-on skills in ELISA assay/screen and assay development and validation. A working knowledge of data management tools is a plus Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential Must have strong work ethic, high self-motivation, goal-oriented and the ability to work as part of a team Highly organized, ability to prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses Ability to multi-task, able to independently analyze and solve problems Education/Experience: B.S./M.S. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or equivalent, and a minimum of 3-5 years of laboratory experience Analytical Techniques Assay Studies Cell/Tissue Culture General Laboratory Protein Chemistry Skills Immunoassays (RIA, ELISA)
