LONG TERM CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT with a transit bus manufacturer.  Duties: Looking for techs with an extensive FORD engine background. Must be experienced in removal and installation as well as engine overhaul and other mechanical and electrical repair duties. This position requires strong mechanical skills and aptitude as well as excellent customer service skills as you will be dealing with the customer. Position requires extensive travel in the Southern California (as well as Northern CA when needed) area to various customer work sites. Ideal experience is to have worked on any of the following: buses, trains, autos, trucks, military vehicles, aircraft, agricultural or industrial equipment. You must be able to  interpret and make decisions on what problems need to be fixed. There are three classifications of work: Acceptance, Retrofit and/or Warranty.  Employee benefits. All work expenses reimbursed and daily per diem will be paid.    NOTE: A company vehicle will NOT be provided, this job requires you to use your own vehicle. Also, a laptop computer and basic tools is required for this job.   Salary is commensurate with experience, skills and abilities.   If hired candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.    Main Territory: Southern California - Bakersfield, Gardena, Glendale, Long Beach, Montebello, Norwalk, Oxnard, Santa Clarita, Santa Monica, Simi Valley down to San Diego.
