Job Description We're looking for a few high quality, speedy video editors to help with portions of our mobile app demo video production work. This would be on an as-needed-basis (ranging from once a month to multiple times per week, depending on your availability and our needs). We would provide you with the written script and recorded video. You would cut out the appropriate chunks of video to match the script. You would not need to match the video with the voiceover, though ability to do that work to a very high standard could lead to further opportunities. Final Cut Pro 7 OR ScreenFlow software and expertise 2. A Dropbox account with at least 15gb of space available in order to transfer the video files (we use Dropbox, so other sharing solutions don't qualify). 3. A reliable, high speed internet connection to transfer VERY large files (10gb+ per project). Not required, but useful: 1. Having BOTH Final Cut 7 and ScreenFlow. 2. Final Cut Pro X as we may transition to this software in the future. 3. Audio Editing experience and professional audio editing software (we also need people to edit voiceovers). In your application, please address these criteria and send samples of videos you have edited. We are most interested in seeing samples of actual edited video, not animated videos or After Effects Projects. We want you to demonstrate your ability to cut raw footage into a coherent video. Please specify your role in shooting/producing/editing any sample videos you send. Additionally, please provide us a quote for the following: a. Editing 15-20 minutes of recorded video into about 2 minutes of clips. We would supply the script and you would pull out the sections of video that match each part of the script. You don’t need to do anything with the voiceover, just find the right part of the video, cut it out and put it in order. We generally record the video in the order of the script, but do multiple takes to get something perfect, so it’s a matter of choosing the right version and roughly assembling it so that it can be further cleaned up when we add the voiceover. b. Same as above, except for a slightly longer video. You would edit the video down to about 3 minutes of clips. c. If you also do audio editing: Editing 10-15 minutes of audio down to a 2-3 minute voiceover.
