Thank you for your interest, I am looking for a mechanical engineer to run vibration and damping analysis, ideally in Abaqus CAE. A typical task would involve: - Import or creation of 3d model, set up suitable boundary conditions, loads etc. - Run frequency analysis for mode shapes and frequencies, prediction of undamped response levels of structure. - Application of a range of damping materials to the model, run frequency analysis for damped mode shapes and frequencies, predict damped response levels of structure and energy levels in dampers. - Reporting of findings in MS Word The following skills are essential: - Experienced user of Abaqus CAE. - 100% reliable. - Excellent spoken and written English. - Good mechanical engineering background The following skills would be an advantage: - Experience running dynamic vibration analysis for natural frequency, mode shape and forced response analysis - Experience modelling damping materials Initially this will be a single job, but work could be extended to other jobs for the right candidate.
