Job Description Global Hires is looking for sharp and ambitious UI/UX Designers to join our select team of creative individuals who are passionate about building intelligent web-based products targeted towards the general consumer market. The UI/UX Designers will significantly help shape the vision of the product and create intuitive interface that accomplishes the goals from conception to launch. Responsibilities: ● Take broad conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for millions of users ● Design flows and experiences that are simple and intuitive ● Craft effective page flows, layouts and wireframes ● Participate in strategic decisions regarding product direction, launch, etc. ● Partner with PMs, engineers, and optimizers to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch (and then some) ● Work with optimization team to create thousands of design variations both before and after product launch, with the goal of producing measurable improvements in key metrics Requirements: ● Strong portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work ● Proven ability to execute on visual and interaction details ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you should be able to clearly articulate your design decisions ● Some experience with front-end web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) - you should be able to code up a simple web site and/or an application ● Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision (not just 'how it should look' but 'what we should build') ● Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation in all browsers ● Unmistakable passion for simple and intuitive user interfaces ● Ability to collaborate with people who have strong opinions and make data-driven decisions ● Self-directed and sense of urgency ● Ability to balance the artistry of design and a drive for results Nice to Haves: ● Experience working on consumer product ● Game mechanics ● Understanding of design and usability principles We are in Austin, Texas and looking for individuals who are excited to join our team as part of a core group of individuals building a new product.
